Hi there
Has anyone encountered the problem whereby if you have lots of buttons (mine are the standard AW6.5 radio buttons) where it shows a label of the button name - and you have several, if you click around them a few times, the text of some of the labels gets thicker and sort of fuzzy? I tried anti-aliasing the text but that makes the problem even worse! Any ideas on why, and more desperately, a solution?!?! Many thanks in advance. Helen |

I have a (very!) vague recollection of seeing that before, but thought it was due to having antialiasing switched on in AW at the same time as font smoothing being switched on in Windows..... If it's only happening with *some* labels can you spot any difference between the ones that are OK and the ones that become fuzzy? (Presumably you tried switching antialiasing on in Buttons Editor?) I've seen it a lot in applications that are built in such a way that you 'reenter' the part of your code several times. It seems that Authorware's smart transitioning (the bit that automatically makes sure thinks don't flicker on screen when redisplayed) can cause the appearance that several layers of button labels exist. If you place your buttons (say) in an entry pane of a framework, then stay within the framework, rather than having some sort of looping structure then your issue should go away. Hi - yep tried anti/non anti aliased but no joy - thanks Chris.
I think Steve might have it right - it's when you pass through the buttons a few times, so i'll have to try playing around with where they are - it's quite a complicated navigation system so i'll have to see what I can do - i think it's showing the label each time without removing the first one, hence the layering. Thanks! |
